October figures from the Turkish Statistical Institute show that the rise in consumer prices continued. The CPI increased by 2.58 percent from the previous month and by 29.77 percent from the same month a year earlier.

Compared with December of the previous year, the increase reached 27.52 percent. The change on a twelve-month average was 31.23 percent.

The announced rates reflect the general consumer price index. Because households devote different shares to food, rent, transport and other items, the price rise people feel can differ.
