Recep Tayyip Erdoğan published a video on X for the 103rd anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic.
He recalled the “Türkiye Yüzyılı” goal.
He said he felt great pride and enthusiasm.
“As 86 million, we will lock arms around our shared values, turn our Türkiye Yüzyılı goal from potential into reality, and together carry the Republic of Turkey, which we see as our firmament, into much brighter tomorrows,” he said.
Erdoğan’s Republic Day message drew a wide response on social media.
Hundreds of people reminded him of former AKP member of parliament Ertan Aydın, known as an architect of the Türkiye Yüzyılı project, who was arrested in the fund investigation.
Erdoğan’s post was met with a flood of reaction.
What stood out was the public’s emphasis on the fund scandal and the election.
Some said: “You ruined people on the stock market.
We have been robbed for four years.
You do nothing.
We will stamp the ballot for whoever is strongest against you.” There were also the criticisms: “The system is in place.
The nation has been stripped to its underwear, chief…
When you said Türkiye Yüzyılı, it turned out to be the century of the fund men.” There were also people who congratulated Erdoğan with the words: “This nation has not been defrauded like this since the Republic was founded.”
