School violence, cyberbullying and student safety are on UNESCO’s agenda.

UNESCO scheduled a meeting in Paris on 5 November for the day against violence and bullying at school.

The agenda includes online violence, support for teachers and trusted reporting mechanisms. The aim is for promises made on student safety to become concrete practice.

UNESCO stresses that bullying affects learning, health and the right to education. Two new resources for teachers and policymakers were also announced as part of the programme.
